Would someone from YUP please tell us....
by NickBanglo
...whether they believe the protestations from Obama and from Bush that "islam is the religion of peace..."? If they do, then surely they have nothing to worry about? If not, perhaps they will say so.
all pro-lifers are murders

Well that one man killed that abortion doctor and that man was a bible reading Christian.

So that makes Christinanity the religion of murders. Yea, right. All religious have their nutcases and it is wise to worry about the harm these nut cases can do.

I can give you the references to the verses (sura) of the koran that clearly support the actions of the bombers etc.

Can you show me any place in the New Testament that could plausibly support the killing of abortionists?

And no, I am not a Christian.

Only a very rare few pro lifers, or radical Christians for that matter act violently. On the other hand the clear majority of whole islamic nations- such as the Palestinians- endorse homicide bombings. Countless thousands support so called jihad. Sure, all religions have their nutcases but there sure do seem to be many more of them in the muslim faith

...doctors have been killed in the last decade? What violence resulted from Robert Maplethorpe's "Piss Christ" photo? Or that May statue covered in dung a few years back? Any embassies attacked? What was the death toll? There are numerous examples on Youtube of Bible burning. Where's the crazy, violent outrage? Remember the fallout from that phony Koran-in-the-toilet story?

It is simply ridiculous to deny that Islam's true believers have a harder time with anger-management than Christians do. I write this as an atheist. Islam is far and away the most backward of the three Abrahamic religions.

Bush and Obama were talking about Islam the religion as it exists in principle, not its followers. The Yale Press is not worried about the Mohammedism as a religion but some of its adherents.

Why do you reference only the New Testament? I judge people by their actions and thus just belonging to a religion doesn't define what those actions might be.

Of course I agree that today there are more Muslims prown to needless violence than Christians. But the historical record is a lot different. Just ask American Indians or Muslims from many years ago.

Of course all pro-lifers are murders is a dumb comment. It is insane, JUST like saying all those that are Muslim are violent. So while I agree that there are more Muslims today prown to violence the top post implied the entire faith supported violence.

With regards to suicide bombings I understand why slaves livings in camps would be use any methods they have to kill those enslaving them.

So that makes Christinanity the religion of murders. Yea, right.

Do you see that 'Yea, right' after what I posted. That means I'm saying the statement was BS.

The top post implied that all those that practice Islam are violent and out to kill anyone that doesn't believe as they do. That is why I posted what I posted.

I also agree Islam is the most baskwards, but as an agnostic I don't have a lot of respect for the other religions either. The views of the RCC are very backwards in my view.

My bad. But the "what about the violent Christian crazies?" argument drives me nuts because they are far fewer in number.
Ok, that was my bad

Your are correct and I overplayed my hand as well.
