Who educates health insurance executives?
by FormerlyKnownAsIRP

This sketch from Jon Stewart might give you some ideas.

MBA Ethics Oath

It is just a short step from the investment banking industry to the insurance industry (and the reverse as AIG demonstrated.)

Didn't GWB have a Harvard MBA? Would he have signed the ethics oath? How about the folks who contributed to his campaigns?

Hmmm, maybe republicans need to start setting up organizations for the sole purpose of destroying the opposition, as liberals have done with “The Color Orange” which was set up to destroy Glen Beck, to take out Jon Stewart.

Nah, conservatives care too much about free speech to pull something like that.

The truth hurts doesn't it Toon ...

You conservatives like to exercise free speech but you can't deal with it when others exercise their free speech. This is a democracy and democracy can be messy.

BTW, to be clear, I think that there are as many incompetent crooks in government as there are in the insurance business.

Wow, we agree with that at least. I just don't want to give the crooks in the government access to my healthcare, my health records, my bank account and life and death decisions about my life.

Care to explain the intent of Hannity or Coulter ...
by FormerlyKnownAsIRP

... with these books?

"Deliver Us From Evil: Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism" by Sean Hannity

"Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism" by Ann Coulter

Beck and Limbaugh are of the same ilk. (I know that you think that they are just a little "crass.")

You do believe in self-defense don't you. Beck can only blame himself for insulting and alienating a lot of Americans. If his advertisers don't like it, let him go on TV and ask folks like you for donations to keep him on the air.

These books are actively organizing attacks against the advertisers of left-wing mouth pieces.

I am sure you know the difference between calling someone a liar and working to ruin their lives. I mean, don't you?

And I don't want health care lobbyists writing ...
by FormerlyKnownAsIRP

... health care reform legislation in their own self interest. That is what you and the Republicans favor. You want health insurance executives and bureaucrats looking at your health care records, getting access to your bank accounts, and making decisions about your health care.

Do you trust the government to keep health care executives OUT of your business? Is it the government that sends you spam and junk mail? How do you think that private businesses collect all this information on you?

You are hopelessly naive.

Coulter and Hannity are worse ...
by FormerlyKnownAsIRP

Ann Coulter and Hannity defend Joseph McCarthy who most definitely did use the power of government to destroy people's lives.

You are a pitiful apologist. Quit playing the victim. Glenn Beck is a two-bit Joe McCarthy. It is his choice whether he destroys himself (which is what McCarthy did).

So can liberals exercise their free speech or not?

Re: And I don't want health care lobbyists writing ...

I am hopelessly naive?

You're the one who wants to politisize life and death decisions pertaining to a person's healthcare. You're the one who wants to put government, the people who's very purpose is to try to aquire the backing of the very same people that you say you don't want in charge of your healthcare.

Why do you think the drug companies are sitting this fight out this time?

Think about it.

And just so that you know, I don't give the insurance companies access to my bank account. That is a choice that you won't have under Obama care.

Re: Coulter and Hannity are worse ...
by Terrortoon

They appologise for McCarthy, you appologise for Obama.

Same difference.

Quit spreading misinformation Toon ....
by FormerlyKnownAsIRP

First, no one is attempting to politicize life and death decisions. That is a BIG lie. Medicare does not politicize life and death decisions and most of the proposals in Congress involve much less government involvement than Medicare. You are just being hysterical and you uncritically believe rabble rousers like Palin. (You are a dupe.)

BTW, insurance companies do have easy access to your credit report and can easily get info on your assets. Your information is much less secure than you might think.

There is no comparison between Obama and Joe McCarthy ...
by FormerlyKnownAsIRP

The fact that you would even compare the two says a lot about you.

You are a dupe.

You quit spreading misinformation.
by Terrortoon

If we were talking about a medicare for all system, you would have a lot more people on your side. You're not, and medicare for all is unsustainable anyway. Medicare as it stands has been on life support for a long time.

EVERYONE has access to my credit report, including me. You changed the subject, again, in your attempts to win a debate as opposed to being truthful. Your bank records are an entirely different thing, and no one has access to those unless you allow it.

Re: There is no comparison between Obama and Joe McCarthy ...
by Terrortoon
You're right, McCarthy didn't have nearly the power Obama has.
So you are for Medicare for all?
by FormerlyKnownAsIRP

I don't think that you know what you are for. Do you even think that health care reform is necessary or are you against it because Obama is for it?

Private companies don't need to get access to the DETAILS of your bank account to get information on your income. Neither does the government. (BTW, does the government have control of your tax records? If they have control of your tax records, why do they need access to your bank account? Now I admit that in my darkest moments I would sometimes worry that Bush and Cheney would make use of my tax records to screw me over. But I resisted that paranoia. You should try the same for President Obama.)

BTW, there is no such thing as "Obamacare." It is a fantasy invented by right-wingers. That fantasy allowed you to make your BOGUS charge that the government would get access to your bank account or medical records through health care reform. You are such a slug.
