experimenting with drugs in letter #3
by Fresi

Yay! I get to rant about "experimenting with drugs"! When I was in HS, I didn't have a chem lab to experiment with drugs. I did drugs. So did everyone else. Or used them. I abhor this cop-out "experimenting" expression. Same goes for sexual experimentation. Not unless you're in some research study.

reminds me of the classic Cheech line--oh we used to experiment with drugs, but we pretty much have it down now.

I always like to add: "They were rigorous trials."

Y'all are cracking me up...no wait, no pun intended. I just got all smokey thinking about it...then I had to get up to speed...this letter writer is acidic.

I thought the self-righteous little "oh, by the way, he experimented with drugs in the past" comment was sorta stuck in there and irrelevant to the main thought. LW, your cousin is mentally ill, which label can be applied to people who are even mildly depressed and not necessarily psychotic. He is obviously functioning at a fairly high level if he's living away from home, in another town, etc. If he found God or whatever 'higher power' that brings him peace and comfort, maybe even better mental health, and if he is not making threats, why should you be so concerned about it? Why do you think he's going to turn into another klebold-harris or postal shooter? Gadzooks, get a life. Better yet, go smoke some green.
