Why are my posts being deleted and by whom are they being deleted? I have no say in the matter?

Wait, I really have had a post deleted. What gives?
If you're sure that your post has been deleted, here are some possible explanations:

• The post contained obscenities or inappropriate sexual imagery.
• The post contained extremely offensive material, e.g., abhorrent racial epithets.
• The post was grossly off-topic, in a way that other posters found unacceptable.
• You posted under a false name with intent to mislead or offend.
• You posted the same message many, many times—i.e., you were spamming.
• You used your post to harass or intimidate another poster.
• You made so many obscene or offensive posts that all of your posts were deleted.

I wasn't trying to. Just happened to be passing through.

Charge me with something specific or return my posts.

The posts in question were off-topic from the articles to which they were linked or they were abusive.

I can imagine you standing in the schoolhouse hallway with your fists on your hips saying that to the principal.

My imagination doesn't have the principal coming to you, however.

My posts meant something to the person who took them. One person cares about something that I wrote. That's wonderful. I am so rich.

Talk about biting the hand that feed's these little egos around here.

It's all free, doesn't that count for something - Like a bit of gratitude.

No offense intended, but I've seen plenty of posts that were spamming, obscene, racially offensive, etc. for months and nothing has happened. Even when multiple posters would call the original poster on having done so. Did the ChurchLady come on-line and start complaining?

Posts are also disappearing in Dear Prudie now.
