I know Jack Shafer says a lot of stupid things, hell, that's what the Washington Post pays him for, but saying stupid things in defense of the Washington Post and passing that off as journalism? Yes, I note the permanent disclosure that appears after the article, but considering Shafer is just about the only one defending this, it seems pretty stupid (par for the course) to even go there.
