Obama and Biden are viewed as buffoons in Europe

We are very kind by giving Obama plenty of slack and more time. We all know if Obama was not a liberal Dem, or it was Bush they would be screeming for him to resign.

We are stuck with Obama but he can save himself as did Clinton if we elect a Republican congress. As you may recall Clinton, learned to triangulate and after 1994 we had a bubble with Newt Gengrich leading the way. Pelosi is no Genegrich and Reid is another buffoon.

Polls in Europe tell us that instead of improving our image, Obama has made us look weak with weak leadership. We know that Obama is inexperienced, and people like myself (who do not get involved with the emotial part of the campaign) predicted that Obama, the community organizer and activist would never do well with economic and foreign policy issues.

Only Obama can change the direction of America, since he has a blank check with both the House and Senate under his control. Obama has no excuse for not fixing what he inherited. He has failed and made things worse.

If Obama is forced to operate in a bi-partisan environment, I am sure that he will turn this thing around.

His foreign policy is widely regarded as a joke......because it is.

My God, his foreign policy is regarded as a joke by a member of W's White House? Stop the presses!

Sorry, I don't consider the opinions of Michael Gerson sufficient evidence for the assertion that "His foreign policy is widely regarded as a joke".

It would be trivial for me to find a lefty extolling Obama's approach.

...yes you and the person writing this article...isn't it wonderful the age we live in...anyone anywhere can find some piece of "evidence" to tell them they are right...

You can disregard it all you want the fact is he has no idea what he is doing, he is in way over his head and is simply a disaster waiting to happen.

The world is in fact laughing at him.

I would in all honesty rather be wrong but wishing doesn't make it so.....

What makes it especially amusing is that you seem to believe that somebody from W's administration would have the vaguest clue about foreign policy.

You can argue that all you want, and use Gerson as part of your argument if you think he makes the points well. You can't link to him to show widely held opinion though. If you want to prove your earlier point then you need much better evidence.

If you just want to argue that Obama's foreign policy sucks, well go right ahead.

...OK so what exactly is telling you you are for sure right...? ...in this thread...there is one piece of evidence showing that he has vastly improved America's image abroad and there is your evidence showing how his foreign policy is laughable...basically...with all of the information just thrown about...no one has to challenge their preconceived notions about things...you have your article telling you that you are right and blueshift has his pole telling him he is right...how great for us...we don't have to open our minds...just look harder for someone to tell us we are right...now I am not saying I agree or disagree with you...because I am so frustrated by the fact that literally anyone can just say they are right...I am not sure where to begin building my stance...I need more time to decide which is good and which is bad evidence...
Stop making stuff up

Obama inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression. The collapse of the banking industry was being abetted by policies from both parties for about two decades. And it was George Bush and Dick Cheney who were by far the biggest boosters of the bank bailout, which was well under way when Obama came in.

The housing bubble was created during the '90s through Bush's presidency. That, as you may know, was part and parcel to the banking meltdown. Obama had nothing to do with that.

Obama inherited hundreds of billions of dollars in debt, directly due to W.'s massive expansion of government without any cuts in spending, coupled with reductions in taxes for wealthy people. One of the results is the incredible shrinking dollar, and a massive amount of that debt being owned by China.

These are fundamental problems in our economy, not just things that can be easily fixed in seven months.

The Economic Stimulus is of course wildly unpleasant to look at. It's just shitloads of money being spent to attempt to stablize industries and get businesses to start spending again. I have not read a single serious economist from any particular point of view, however, who doesn't absolutely agree that doing something like the stimulus wasn't absolutely critical to avoid a massive implosion the likes of the Great Depression in terms of depth and scope.

And we're already starting to see the glimmers of a recovery.

As for the Europeans, no, they love the guy. Not that the Europeans' opinion really means much. But just don't make stuff up. We also know that he's not intentionally pissing off Arabs and Muslims, which is a really good thing in and of itself.

Oh, so that makes him a wimp, does it, because he hasn't threatened to nuke Mecca yet? Well, if it makes you happy, he has stepped up the number of Predator drone attacks in western Pakistan, increased the number of troops and offensive operations in Afghanistan, and there is currently a very large operation by the Marines going on in Helmand Province. Why do you spit on our troops who are fighting for us?

Bush destroyed a lot of the credibility we had, as well. We have a lot less weight to throw around than we ever did before. History will see the Bush era as the beginning of the end of America's world dominance, not the Obama era.

You speak much wisdom, Man of Pig Virus.

But let's hear from you, Sick. You think he's a disaster waiting to happen. Why? Extrapolate. What about Obama's foreign policy so far makes you think he's so bad. I am willing to be convinced.
