Healthcare: Never Underestimate Obama.

Since Obama announced for the Presidency the media has portrayed him as charismatic, inspiring, and intelligent. When are we going to realize that he also always gets his way. He won Iowa against all odds. He outsmarted Clinton throughout the rest of the primaries. He wiped the floor with McCain in the debates. He got his stimulus package and every single legislative initiative he has demanded. He improved our image throughout the world and redirected our efforts in Afghanistan.

Healthcare will be no different. Yes, it may be watered down a bit to demonstrate party unity -- but it will be historical and, in the long run, the 100th or so feather in his cap. His White House team is every bit as smart as his campaign team, and that's saying something.

The hand wringing about the blue dogs is a total sideshow. Obama knows he has their votes -- he just doesn't know what adjustments he will have to make to get them on a package that meets his general criterion.

Bet on it.

Lest see. Add 43 million more to the system and reduce costs at the same time. Does not sound logical.

Obama portrays himself as racially prejudiced and a marxist. Other than that , he is a nice guy.

First of all, yes Obama is a smooth talker. Second, though McCain is not the best orator, he did quite well in a couple of the debates with the facts. Obama used alot of retoric.

Obama needs to slow down! He is already campagning for 2012. Speed has already created a mess with our economy, i.e. the auto industry which went bankrupt with billions of our money and the banks took our money and are still very reluctant to lend to us, not to mention the credit card industry which is out of control. The healthcare plan (Obamacare) is worse than our already bad insurance industry. All we need to do is regulate insurance companies, not create a government run beauraucracy run by non-medical decision makers. God save us from this "Obamination".

I am very concerned.

Yes, Obama is another "Slick Willie" smooth talker trying to buffalo America. By the way, he certainly embarrassed the US with his excuses for our country overseas. We are a CHRISTAN NATION. Most of our forefathers that wrote our constitution were christian ministers and doctors.

A nice smile, a good speech writer, a functioning teleprompter, and promises with no backbone, do not necessarily make a good president.

wbeck;

Although totally off point for this thread, this is not a Christian. Muslim, Hindu, Agnostic or any other religious nation. While the majority of Americans are Christian, the nation is free and one of those freedoms is the freedom from the nation imposing a religious belief on its citizens. It is fine for you to believe deeply in Christianity and to chastise Obama for his policies and actions -- but don't resort to know-nothing slogans like Christian Nation. It destroys any credibility you might have on a disputable issue.
