No, please don't move here
by inLimbo

As a native of Colorado I have witnessed an expolosion of growth in my state. The Californians, after having created havoc with their state, are now flocking to Colorado and Denver specifically. Traffic is horrible and getting worse and my accustomed standard of living is being affected by the influx of people to my state. I know consider flyfishing a combat sport as I generally have to fight for a spot on a river if said river happens to be within a two hour drive of the metro area...sad. So, out of purely selfish and xenophobic reasons, please find somewhere else to live. Besides, our winters are horrible here; snow on the ground 8 eight months out of the year and COLD.

(this is kind of tongue in cheek, but I still would love to see a decrease in our growth)

great post: I saw the same thing happen in GA

Lived in Atlanta for 35 years. I saw it transformed from one of the most beautiful cities in the world to a concrete latrine. Why , too many people. Note that the same is occuring to the country as a whole. As you probably know, we have added about 100 million people in the last 40 years. I'm not anti immigrant, but over immigration is behind most of our national poulation growth. See: Sierrans for us population stabilization. www.SUSPS.org

Umm, how much of that growth was from immigrants and how much was from thoughtless & greedy developers and non-immigrants willing to move anywhere as long as it has the same amenities as anywhere else?
