I was struck by this comment: ".... A man who has been married for two decades seems to be discovering, for the first time, how love feels. ...." I haven't read Sanford's correspondence, but this presumes he never wrote anything similar when courting his wife or any other woman for whom the evidence chain hasn't (yet) been released to the public.
