Knock offs?
by candoxx

Why do you people always imply that the USA brands are the only ones in the world, as if tobacco was invented by US corporations, when it was an American Indian thing to begin with?

I visited China in 1972 and was there for 6 weeks...they had pleanty of cigarettes, all kinds of brands, even one called "Anshan", and from mild to strong, and all were quite quite good. In fact, when I returned home, I missed their cigarettes and tea very much.

While I'm at it, the potato comes from South America; okra and the peanut comes from Africa; tomatoes come from Mexico/Central America...lots of things come from the world over, all made by HUMAN BEINGS living and working.

huh? did you even read the article? these are made to look exactly like a brand name, with packs that say Marlboro, or Anshan or whatever, but they are made by factories not owned or authorized by the companies whose label they bear.

Aww, don't be so hard on him. He is still in his foetal Evil White Imperialist stage. A Marxist brother will take him aside pretty soon and teach him how to blame white Americans for tobacco. After all, if Indians got Americans hooked on tobacco, Indians are the true oppressors and white folks are just victims. Give him some time, he will eventually sort out the correct party line.
