the streets of Chicago as our commander-in-chief.

Our combat ready brigades are spread out in South Korea, Iraq, and Afhganistan with meaningful backup days away,

We no longer have a two ocean navy as we .react of North Korea and Iran as we attempt to keep the Persian Gulf open and the Arabian Sea threat free. and North Korean nuclear material out of the hands of terrorists.

The IDF is poised to launch against Iran's nuclear activities as Hamaa and Hezbollah are positioned to launch thousands of missiles at Israel and North Korea is on alert able to pound the capital of South Korea with artillery, rockets and bombs.

I do not believe that the Chicaco Community Activist now in our White House has the ability to use the advice of his trained Miliary in a timely manner if at all

No, I am no comfortable with Leader Obama in our White House during these dangerous times.

Are you?

I was never comfortable

with the spoiled little drunkard you worshipped for 8 years. if you want to whine about the deplorable conditon of our Military look to your brush cutter in Chief GWB and Donnie Rumsfeld. Those are the incompetent morons who over extended our military and wiped out most of the goodwill our allies held for us.

Yes these are perilous times, these conditions did not develop over the last few months you brain dead hack. Your favorite drunk wrecked the family car, burned down the house and killed the family dog. Now you want to blame the person who is trying to fix the mess you enabled with so much gusto..

There is nothing written in your post that can be laid on the steps of the current administration. Just once skippy, just once, try to be honest when you post.

Am I comfortable with Obama? Yes. I think I cast the correct ballot last february.

It was last November. Obviously I need to turn off this contraption and get some sleep.
NickD, a suggestion. Stop living in the past. Come

into the real world of today where Obama is the Leader.

Where the national deficit for 2009 is over 1.8 trillion dollars. Where the unemployment rate is ~ 10%. Understand that the federal governement has taken over the banking system, the automotive industry. Gasoline at the pumps is approaching $3/gallon, crude oil shipped out of the Persian Gulf is at $70 dollars. Congress is taxing the coal fired power stations, the source of 50% of our electricity. Solar and Wind Power is a future thing as we freeze and sit in the dark this winterl

Meanwile an insane North Korean has the power to destroy a good part of South Korea including some 30,000 of our best combat troops before we can blink. This same monster has nuclear tipped missiles that can cripple Japan.

Meanwhile, Mullahs threatened by their own people have a military that can severly damage our fleet in being in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea as and invade Iraq and endanger the existence of our combat brigades deployed there.

Stop living in the past, NickD, come into the now and face reality.

In the past you have posted about your love for

your grandchildren - many of us have enjoyed those posting moments

I am certain that you are doing all that a man can do to protect them in these perilous times

Yes, I am

I was never comfortable having that asshole GWB in our White House for 8 years, but I lived through it. The tragedy, though, is that thousands of US military personnel and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis did not live through it, thanks to the actions of the idiot-in-chief.
Absolutely Comfortable Here in PA

I remain so thankful that Obama won.

You're a fucking idiot. There is no way to know how many Americans are alive today because of George W Bush. But 3,000 or so died on 9/11/01.

What would Obama have done after 9/11...call for restraint like your monkey boy president, Obama is fond of doing? He's a leader alright. He's leading us right into hell.

a long time, wisdom.

You are now seeing real numbers Skep
by Pace

excluding wartime spending from the budget does not mean we haven't overspent,

Making sure that un-employment numbers are transparent is the right barometer.

I am not sure if you realize that a lot of what is happening in this economy is due to lack of transparency; not sure you get that.

Look at corporations; lots of ways to hide expenditures with low ROI; up to a point, European companies could hide some expenses in their capital budget; yes in the US and according to GAAP, this would be tax fraud, there, it's the way of working. If you don't think this hasn't effected us, then you are living in a past dream world.

I would rather see the whole picture, total transparency, instead of making the numbers look good.

So if I were you, I'd take my own advice.

Pace

The list
by Sawbones

of things with which you are not comfortable is long, I have discovered.

Accountability.

Transparency.

Honesty.

Nuance.

Reality.

My guess is that it's the last one that is the most crippling. But my other guess is that the thing that is actually making you the most uncomfortable right now is the bug up your ass - prompt removal may be the answer.

Yes, I am quite comfortable with an actual grown-up in the White House. It's a nice change of pace.
