craig should "fight for his seat"

in the Minneapolis airport!

Criag is God's gift to the Democratic Party! He's a flip-flopper who can't make up his mind about anything. Am I gay, am I straight, am I in, am I out!

I would like to once more comment that it is not necessary to be "gay" (or even bisexual) to desire to have same-sex relations. If Craig had admitted that he was gay, it would trouble me less than what I think IS his problem ...

which is, specifically, to gain the excitement of doing something outrageous in order to feel that he himself is above the laws that he spouts righteously to those he feels are beneath him.

I would vote for someone who is gay, but I deplore the idea of someone being in such a high office of my country, who appears to simply get a charge out of making self-righteous remarks while thumbing his nose at the very laws he helps to create.

And while I am not a Democrat, I find SandyHook's comment extremely irritating. The act of learning wisdom necessitates considering new ideas and possibly changing old beliefs. A Good Old Boy Republican may stick to his guns, by gum, but it is at the price of either never learning, or refusing to admit errors. In short, it is at the total inability to ever find wisdom.

I think that most Americans have only seen a crumb of what Senator Larry Craig is really all about. When this incident of alleged sexual inappropriatate was broken I found it sad that those that he stood up for, both fellow Congressmen and citizens, either 'left him hung out to dry' or as James Carlyle said on NBCs Meet The Press on 9/2/2007 " they didnt just throw him under the bus.. they hit him with the bus".

Much of the time politicians or famous people pay a very heavy price for their choice of vocation. Do we ever remember that they are still only human beings? They have the ability to look foolish, make mistakes, and have bad days like the rest of us. How would you feel if the whole world followed you around and knew the results of your last visit to the dentist or you annual colonoscopy( esp if there wasnt anything importnat to report?

Lets stay focused here. Larry Craig might have showed the public just how deep his Idaho 'red-neck' values might be but my concern is more about how well he does his job and not what he does in his off time. If he has anyone to apologize to it is to his wife and family. I would have been far more concerned if he got arrested for DUI( Hi Kennedys X 2) esp. if there was an accident with injuries/death to others. Or if this alleged sexual incident was with a minor( Hi Mark Foley), an violated an unwilling participate or the Senator abused his positional power over a subordinate. (Hi Bill Clinton.)

IF THIS OCCURED, it was a laps in judgment. Has anyone noticed that noone has heard from the arresting cop, Dave Karsina? Have the Minneapolsis Police stashed him away to keep the media from badgering him into making a statement that would trip him up and 'blow holes' in his story?

I think its good that Senator Larry Craig fights this allegation. I think far too many people these days are too quick to judge when they dont have all the facts and ' just want this unpleasantness to go away'. I was raised that one of the greatest traits of friends was loyality. People should stand up for those who have been there for them in the past.

Besides dont we all have more important things to expend our energy on like fixing the war in Iraq and the economy?

With all this potty talk, I have to go.

Personally, I think it is a stupid thing to have done, a stupid thing for the GOP to panic over, and a stupid thing to castigate him over. And if he didn't so willfully castigate OTHERS for their human foibles, I would not feel so strongly that he needs to take a break from leading this country, and get in touch with his personal needs.

I'd like to have Craig sit down and figure out why he would do a thing like this, before he tries to lead a nation.

You can argue this all you like. If you desire same sex relations with another, chances are very good you ARE GAY!

Whether Larry is in fact gay or just enjoys flaunting his power and position is anyone's guess. But the bottom line is this. Some parts of the country possibly would forgive him, but Idaho is not one of them. Whether he loses a primary challenge, a general election, a recall, whatever, the days of Senator Larry are done.

Well, Skinny, I haven't personally conducted any surveys on the subject. But if you think that it is necessary to love (or even be drawn to) someone in order to enjoy having sex with them, then I think you're a little naive. The fact that so many battery driven and electrical devices can do the same job, should have told you that! SEX is SEX.

Loving, and being in love, is something else. The act that Craig undertook, had nothing to do with attraction.

el cid... do you really thing that that cop that allegedly was propositoned knew he had snagged himself a US Senator when they were sitting there in that mens room with their pants around their ankles? Do you know something the rest of us dont? Do you think that cop saw that Larry Craig have something tattoed on his lower calf that says, "I am a US Senator so dont screw with me". By the way, why has that cop been hiding out so he wouldnt have to face the public and the media and answer for his allegations?

You say you are from Idaho and yet you must still have no concept about what this scandal has done to the current financial and future federal funding of projects that most of Idahos people hold near and dear. By taking away Sentor Craigs seat in Congress and the House Appropriations Committee Idaho will no longer have a voice in how our share of the federal government money is spent.

Larry Craig might have taken a 'wide stance' but he took a stand for many of those groups throughout the USA that needed a voice to get the funding and services they needed and deserved. Ask the disabled vet or the senior citizen that was able to write or call Senator Craig and get the services that were due them and they needed to survive. Ask anyone who belongs to the NRA and likes to lawfully hunt or target shoot who stood up for their rights. Larry Craig even was responsible for the federal legisation for adopting foster children and the tax credit. He believed in it so strongly her adopted his own then step-children because he believed that you lead by example.

Is Larry Craig gay? Did he propisition a minor or use his p[osition of authority to get his alleged 'bootie'? I seriously dobut it and if he is does it keep him from continuing to represent those vulnerable groups that need his help. Who will stand up for them now that Senators Craigs job is in jeopardy? Our fcous now should be job centered and goal orinted and stop trying to legislate morality...it doesnt work.
