We're just about finished wrapping up Senior Year at my house. The prom is now an expensive memory, final exams are history, the kids have all graduated, and on Sunday they all took off for Ocean City, Maryland for the annual rites of Senior Week. What is Senior Week, you may ask? Senior Week is when everything you've put into raising your child for the past 18 years gets tested. SInce it's only Tuesday and they still have 5 more days to go, I'm trying not to think about it too much.
Wandering through empty rooms in my house this week, I came across my daughter's senior yearbook. It was autographed in the manner senior yearbooks have been autographed since time immemorial; long pouring-out-missives-from-the-heart written by girlfriends; condensed, to the point notes from guy friends. Lots of RMA's, Let's Party This Summer, Calc was fun with a capital FU, and the always classic They signed your front they signed your back but I'm the jerk who signed your crack. A few more, but oddly enough, they were cryptic abbreviations I couldn't understand. Hmmmm.
Voila! After reading my daughter's yearbook and then being doubly inspired by this, a new fray game was born. Your mission: Write a yearbook entry to another poster here on The Best of the Fray. Anyone you want, put their poster(s) name(s) in the subject line. Get as poetic and creative and explicit as you'd like, keeping in mind that whatever you write here today will be dusted off and read years from now at a fray reunion in the very distant future.
Winner will receive and Early Bird 20% Discount Price on Fray Reunion Tickets and Complimentary Personalized Misspelled Cake.
