Micromanaging the boss
by mustireallyweighin

The advice (go over your boss's head) is a recipe for

a) getting fired

b) learning the life lesson that the bosses boss ALWAYS backs up the boss, no matter what

c) Ensuring an awkward work environment

d) all of the above

I was really shocked at this advice.

Micro-managing is always about insecurity. So, you are going to address this issue by going behind their back?

I've dealt with micro-managers and even been fired by one (I finally snapped) and through it all learned this.

Suck it up, quit or try to transfer inside the company. It's an unwinnable battle.

Management will back their own (I have yet to ever see the top down view of somebody equal the bottom up view), you'll be labeled as a malcontent and your boss will hate you.
