Just checking at IMDB and I found the 1994 Wesley Snipes movie I own about this one-time affluent section of Harlem that was very much apart of the Harlem Renaissance. At that time W.E.B Dubois, Thurgood Marshall, Adam Clayton Powell and Duke Ellington lived there in the elegant row houses. The Hamilton Heights-West Harlem web site offers many resources for residents and tourists. I was hoping to see a slide show of the historic architecture but there isn't one. The Harlem One Stop site does does provide an illustrated list of historic hotels, bed and breakfasts including 154 Sugar Hill.

over to the Hamilton Heights neighborhood? I remember SugarHill, as a child living in Upper Manhattan, as one of the nicest areas between Washington Heights & the Upper West & East Sides. Has it really deteriorated? Sad to hear, if so. Thanks. (Not the real) Speaker Nancy, of course.
