Legislation or not
by Chrisle
The problem for the government, any government, is not whether pro-life or pro-choice is right but whether it can legislate. Legislation can only really be successful when dealing with clear-cut issues. If you legislate against abortion you have to say abortion is always wrong. Therefore, it is wrong in cases of rape or t is wrong to save the life of the mother. When you start trying to put exceptions into legislation that will always be someone who stretches the line and then someone else will stretch the line a bit further. By all means preach one way or the other, it then becomes what it really is, a matter of conscience but don't legislate unless you really mean that every abortion is always wrong in every circumstance. That means in vitro fertilization is also wrong in every circumstance.
