The mindset when seeing an attractive person is that the person probably has a full dance card already, and you don't even have a shot. Nothing is further from the truth and generally, these very beautiful people are often home almost every night with nothing to do and not attached.

Attractive people will only give other attractive people the time of day... which is what leads to the phenomenon you describe.

Frankly, I think the LW is just more attractive than he gives himself credit for, so he should drop this whole idea about her being "out of his league."

Wow that's a generalization. First of all, attractiveness is subjective, and second of all, I doubt at "all" attractive people have the same criteria when choosing dates.
