or even interesting. I don't think it was because she's pro-Obama, I think she just blew it as a comedian in that performance. Hitch's points are undoubtedly relevant to why she failed, I think but a better comedian could have succeed even using the same overall pro-Obama approach.

My main reaction to her performance was that she seemed to be channeling Rush Limbaugh but with the polarity reversed.

I totally agree, I may be biased–in that I've never really found her funny–but she failed her comedic duties. Watching it was one of those things where I felt embarrassment for her....

Sucking up to the boss is the exact antithesis of what good comedy is all about - poking the boss in the eye is more like it.

That's one reason why Lenny Bruce was a trailblazer and Wanda Sykes is a non-entity.

She had no comic flow. Now it is hard to know if the jokes 'on paper' were funny or not because her delivery was so weak. A solid delivery can often overcome weak jokes.
