Jeb for President
by PhxTed
With Jeb Bush being so visible in 2009, I can only assume that he has unofficially announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in 2012. Does anyone else see his visibility as throwing his hat into the ring?

He'd better change his name, it's pretty toxic. While Americans have short memories, if the economy hasn't improved, they will still label it the bush economy, and if it has, well, then he'll have to beat a popular president.

Do you think W would campaign for Jeb? Or would Jeb tell him to stay away? How about Cheney?

More importantly, will Karl Rove be his campaign manager?

Just think, this could be an opportunity to have Rumsfeld as defense secretary, Cheney as VP and who knows which knucklehead he'd bring us to be our new (recycled) Attorney General.

How about Jeb Clampett? It brings up warm feelings of the beloved Beverly Hillbillies series. It would be better than Jeb I'm-Not-You-Know-Who. Lol
Listening tour....

They had 6 years to listen and they failed. Based on what they have done since January, there has been a lot of talking, but listening? Not so much.

I think the nation would have been a lot better off if Jeb had been the previous president. He seems to be practically an intellectual by the standards of modern Republican statesmen.

Elmer Fudd would be an intellectual in comparison.

Jebby's definition of the 'new' Republican party: "We have principles, we have values. They are the values that are shared by the majority of Americans, there's no question about it...."

Yeah, do the values talk. It's not like the Republicans have used that before, insinuating that those who are not Republicans don't have values and aren't real Americans. It's so new and refreshing. It'll get you pretty far.

Say, where' are Rudy Giuliani and Newt Gingrich? Larry Craig? Ted Stevens?

We talk about important stuff that lots of real Americans talk about.....We'll talk about how nasty it is to burn the flag. We'll talk about how awful it is for a woman to have an abortion. Making the military stronger is one of our favorite conversations.....You'll really love what we have to say about gay people getting married.....the damage that they will do to marriage practically makes them terrorists and you know how we feel about terrorists...
