Unfortunately that says a lot about the sad state of the GOP.

souter just shows there is no difference between the republicans and democrats. they both have sold this country and the constitution out for a bowl of rice and invitations to the right parties.

souter sold out everything he believed in for 20 years to keep from being bashed like clarence thomas was. souter was and is nothing but a compromising coward who stood for nothing and will be remembered for nothing.

Likely the next time they run for re-election and the Religious Right and Club for Growth put up "Rick Santorum" type candidates against them.

Those ladies are RINOs (Republican in Name Only), so I have asked myself the same question--what's taking them so long to change labels?

Guess nobody would cop to being a DINO these days. Maybe Joe Lieberman was the last of that breed.

Joe Lieberman was given power in the 2009 Senate. When Arlan Specter displeased James Dobson in 2004 he had to crawl on his belly to Dr. Dobson to retain his Chairs.
