He's completely unaware of the differences between the professionals for whom the CIA is a career and the political appointees who can ignore them and prioritize their own initiatives.

But lack of knowledge has never stopped Hitchens from commenting on something whether sober or not.

Woo! Happy to have an expert on the CIA like you here Kicker. Since you're clearly qualified to criticize Hitchen, that must mean you know better. Couple questions:

What is your explanation for KSM's 31-days under the sea? Why didn't the CIA try conventional rapport building techniques? Why did Tenet wish that the flight school leads had nothing to do with 9-11? Is it possible Hitchens is correct, and hysterical is an apt description?
