Give me a break!
by redbeth77

I agree with about 50% of the author's views (i.e. Abercrombie's line of clothes are ridiculous in both price and hoochie style).

Just because the logo for Baby Phat is a cat does not mean it is an inuendo for something. Besides the price of their clothing, I can't see anything wrong with thier line of clothes.

Victoria's secret is marketed towards females who are at least teens and up. I see nothing wrong with my daughter wearing their Pink line which is much more subdued than their more adult line.

I'm glad to hear that there are mothers and tweens out there who see the problem with little girls wearing hoochie clothes and the message it sends to both the little boys and other little girls. A reputation obtained in the tween years is difficult to overcome and wearing provocative clothing will not help tweens out in this area.

However, I think there is a difference between being conservative and reading WAY too far into things.

I was wondering about the cat logo myself. I wouldn't have thought that to be suggestive, but then I haven't seen the logo. Is the cat licking itself or something?
