Egypt persecutes the refugees and the Jews get blamed

Seriously Rosner can you at least pretend to be an objective journalist. Have the people of Darfur learned the secret of personal flight. You make it sound as if they are fleeing from Darfur and then magically appearing in Israel. No, they are fleeing to Egypt which as part of the Arab League is supporting the janjaweed in its genocidal practices and is the country responsible for their well being as the first country they are fleeing to. Israel is just considered an upgrade for these people. Furthermore the reason why Israel cannot taking them in is because of silly Haaretz people such as yourself. About 17 years ago Israel took in a large number of African refugees from Liberia and were promised that once the conflict died down that these people would return to their country of origin. Well lo and behold 17 years passes and the conflict is over but instead Haaretz demands that these people and their children be allowed to stay forever. How do we know that once the conflict in Darfur is over that Haaretz won't demand they be given citizenship and overwhelm our little country. But back to the main point stop giving Egypt a pass for all of this. Sadly most people are not that well informed and you are taking advantage of this. Shame on you!

correction the Liberian refugees came five years ago and Haaretz was demanding they stay even after the U.N. said that they could return home.

Why not give them a choice to stay or go?

Non citizens don't have the right to chose to stay or go in another country. Just like you don't have the right to chose to stay or go in your neighbor's house whenever you want.
so. . .

If I stay at a friend's house for a few days, he/she has the right to insist I stay forever, even after my reason for staying has ended?

Um...

I don't think you really understand at all.

My analogy was A goes to B when B doesn't want them. Your analogy is A goes to B when B wants them.

You cannot try to ask an opposite question when thats not at issue.

I would suggest reading Aristotle's Rhetoric as a primer so that you can learn how to form a proper argument.

here's the sentence I was responding to

"Just like you don't have the right to chose to stay or go in your neighbor's house whenever you want."

Read as it was written, once I enter my neighbor's house, I cannot leave without his/her permission. Had you said "Just like you don't have the right to chose to enter your neighbor's house whenever you want.", the meaning would have been closer to what (I presume) you intended, and closer to generally accepted standards of behavior as a whole.

"once I enter my neighbor's house, I cannot leave without his/her permission"

Are you an idiot?

Once you enter your neighbors house you can always leave or its termed kidnapping.

What the hell is wrong with you mentally?

"Well lo and behold 17 years passes and the conflict is over but instead Haaretz demands that these people and their children be allowed to stay forever."

A perfect example of the old saying and truism ....."No good deed goes unpunished."

This same fate will fall on the US for it's good deed in allowing millions of illegal Mexican and other immigrants flood into our country for purely economic reasons.

I wasn't the one who wrote that, remember?
