NFL is NOT the NBA or the MLB

Bad news for Vick. While many sports remain unwilling to have your off the field activity count against your career possibilities (even congress has its share of former felons), the NFL has made much ado about its desire to be family friendly and to consider criminal activity by its athletes to be less than acceptable. While small-time crimes have not seen quite the attention and unforgiving judgements (such as Kerry Collins drunk driving arrest), high profile crime has become a bit different.
The NFL was quick to point out that Vick damaged the NFL and of course damaged his team with his actions. The Falcons are without their star QB most likely forever and about the only team which would consider him now (provided the NFL approves) is the Oakland Raiders (or maybe the Cowboys).
The point is that Vick killed puppies-and that just doesnt look good when a lot of kids and families make up the fan base.
The good news is that if Vick refuses to turn on his associates in the dog fighting, he can say he didnt rat on his buddies, and this earns him street cred in the gang and rap music worlds.
My prediction-look for the Mike Vick rap album from Death Row records.
