When you are composing a post, the edit box is too wide for the frame in which it resides. Thus, you have to scroll side-to-side during the editing of your post.

It seems that the toolbar across the top is the problem: There is room in the frame for 14 buttons, but the toolbar has 16.

Either widen the frame or rethink the toolbar.

I think the reason is that they are using WYSIWYG -- what you see is what you get. In other words, each line of the wider box is exactly what you'll see when you post it -- which wasn't always true with Microsoft.
