Good evening, everyone.

So I've taken some time away from the very interesting things I do for a living to spend my time reading your posts. Oh, joy.

I hope I'll be glad to see most of you again. If your posts suck, I'll probably freeze your account. If they REALLY suck, I'll flush your post history.

I hope everyone's doing well?

Geoff?? Is that you returned from the Aether?

One and the same.
Pictures are not allowed on the Fray, Heleva.
by Freditor_G Editor

*sigh*

How long have you been doing that? And if I delete all your posts with pictures, will you promise never to post pictures again?

I only started posting pics again after star shit did. *bats eyelashes*

Yes, I can post links instead. *sigh*

Frabjous Day, Mein Fuhrer
by Urquhart

I would distinguish between JO and Jack's posts. JO's had no apparent basis and was essentially a top-post call-out. Not a flagrant violation, as he didn't name anyone (thus adding to the bafflement), but in the same spirit.

Jack's wasn't brilliant, but it did have a fact, and an observation on said fact. No violation of any sort.

Artie's was basically a Fray poll.

So are there criteria, or shall we feel our way along together?

No real criteria...
by Freditor_G Editor

we've got this far without them... why add some now?

Ordinarily, general retardation isn't a bannable offense. And if that's all I find, maybe this'll be a catch and release expedition.

It's looking less likely than I expected that I'd merge the whole of this forum into Ballot Box. So that's some good news.

Disdain sucks, Geoff.

But thanks for giving a shit.

I've prepared a primer <link> if you'd care to peruse it. My standards were adjusted to suit the environment. Yours may be higher.

You could safely flush everyone in the downrated list that does not also appear in the uprated list, if it saves you some time.

Why Add Some Now?
by Urquhart

Um, because, it might let people know what's bannable. Some might feel this is helpful.

Moira was successful mainly due to her ability to scatter largesse upon good actors. You got no carrots, so the task is more difficult. Banning on a whim without criteria makes about as much sense as creating a Club Fray.

Nicely done.

I don't think my standards have ever been too demanding. Have a point that's at least a tiny bit creative or additive, and express it clearly. Fray Editing is sort of like grading hundreds of junior high essays every day.

So, when do you sleep?
There have always been criteria.
by Freditor_G Editor

Don't waste the Fray Editor's time with crap. If dealing you with costs more time than flushing you, *zap* you're gone.

The rules remain pretty simple: No biting, scratching, kicking, etc. If you have nothing to say, have the decency to shut the hell up.

Sleep?
by Freditor_G Editor

That's that thing people do when they close their eyes and get real quiet for eight hours at a stretch, right?

Never understood the point.

Generally it is done for cellular repair. Anyways, use a velvet glove with that iron fist holding a red marker (figuratively speaking of course).
One Would Think, Though
by Urquhart

That the vast majority of posts wouldn't require the Freditor's attention. Which is why your rather eccentric calling of Jack to the principal's office stands out and needs addressing. It wasn't a brilliant check-worthy post. It wasn't an offensive troll post. It was just a post, giving the cable news ratings for the week, and commenting thereupon.

What was your rationale?
