Beaver ad promotes healthy relationships

I wasn't sure about the hilarity of the sleeping mask ad, but then I watched another one from the same campaign. Loved it! It featured a woman carrying a chubby beaver and laughing and talking, getting a manicure together, a day at the beach, etc...like bonding with your girlfriend. I think that would be the opposite of woman-hating. An ad campaign implying that women should love their beavers, take good care of them and have fun together. I wish every woman could have such a good relationship with her, uh, beaver.

Now, had the ad featured a bi-valve mollusk with a goatee...THAT I would have found offensive. It's just not as cute and cuddly as a beaver.

Hilarious!

"...women should love their beavers, take good care of them and have fun together."

Seems like the bits in question are so over-groomed (by many, not all) that the slang "beaver" seems hardly appropriate. But perhaps I misunderstand the origins of the slang, and they don't pertain to the visual.

Perhaps a Sphynx kitten would be more in line with today's feminine grooming standards.

Perhaps naked mole rat or one of those hairless cats would be more appropriate.
