Inching Toward Nationalization

To all those who were worried about America looking like Nazi Germany under the Bush Administration: can you say "Sieg Heil?" Looks like Obama is moving US closer to what Bush was accused of representing in his leadership style. Of course, Obama is doing it (Change) so "nicely" and everyone, it seems, wants to see it happen (Media reporting.) Obama is, however, being represented (Media reporting) as a benevolent dictator where Bush was portrayed (Media reporting) as the malevolent dictator so I guess we have that much going for us.

Due to 30 years of Democrats and Republicans pushing conservative economic policies we are now left with a choice; temporary government recievership of some banks or global economic depression. That's it. Everything else is just a bunch of grandstanding b.s. just like your post.
What's your alternative, sarcasticus?

I am being affected by this financial mess. I am making decisions to prepare rebuilding from a circumstance that is going to get muc, much worse. I have relatively good control of my family's business finances. I am not in a hole. I know how to stay afloat and I know where my resources are. You are mistaken in connecting the current economic failures only to conservative economic policies. You have left out so many ingredients to this failure that your own ignorance is now a concern. "That's it"!!! No other choices? "So many choices" were not considered because Obama only has one in mind. This economic issue will not be resolved employing the method he has chosen. For your peace of mind, I really do hope Obama's decision makes a positive impact. But my understanding of commerce leads me to preduct that this line of intervention will fail utterly. The ASSUMPTIONS upon which his decisions are established must come to pass--whatever they are! But I know this...BORROWING will not rebuild and it will hardly delay the inevitable. This financial mess will hit rock bottom at some point. It will be individual people taking personal responsibility for themselves before we can rebuild. I do not know your circumstances but you are just feeling helpless and hoping SOMEBODY has an answer. YOU, my fellow American, ARE the answer. Build yourself, build your family, and your community. Many of Obama's directions are wrong! Now, what do you get out of what Obama proposes? Are you out of a job? Get one or make one for yourself. Are you so focused on the catastrophe occuring that your own life seems worse than it is? NO grandstanding here, get ready my friend, because the "b.s." has yet to hit the fan. Start getting ready, now.

Personal responsibility, DoctorTom! When your decisions affect me I adjust. To hell with tax cuts. To hell with taking other peoples money and giving to other people. Everybody makes their way, just like I do. I do not take anything from anybody, I earn everything I make. I make everything I earn. And if we take time to get to know each other, I would suspect that you pretty much do the same. So now you need to ask yourself what the hell your bitching about. Sieg Hiel comrade?
