Hospice
by paddyd

The advice to care for yourself is excellent advice.

However, if a person really wants to do something direct, hospice volunteers sometimes sit with dying patients at that time of day. If a person is a fit for that kind of work, the early morning is exactly the time patients and their families can use them.

It takes a good hospice with a good volunteer coordinator.

Our hospice also has people knitting shawls for patients--that could be an early morning activity, if you knit.
