And the treaty would do what?

As for something being done do you have any ideas?

Space is being cluttered just as we've trashed the oceans <link> I cite the Pacific Gyre as an example.

The problem is of course that the space debris is traveling in the miles per second where the ocean debris is travailing at a snails pace. A small item about the size of a grain of rice will hit you like a rifle bullet at 12-15 miles a second with deadly results.

Eventually gravity will return the stuff to earth where all but the largest will burn up on re-entry but in the interim we keep putting stuff up there and things like tool bags, parts, trash and even paint chips continue to be added to the mix and endanger anything we put into orbit.

It's only a matter of time before a spacer is killed up there by a high speed chunk of space trash.

Bottom line there is no way at this time to fix it or clean it up, the only thing we can do is make every attempt to not dump stuff in space.

You mean you actually believe that we've got satellites up there? That's exactly what they want you to believe. But it's all a lie. I read it on the internets, so it's irrefutable.

low earth orbit
by daystar

is where all the space debris has become a deadly asteroid field rotating in every direction. The space station is actually below it all, closer in to the earth, there are satellites revolving in the same range as the mess and there are high orbit satellites that are out beyond the Van Allen belts.

you can't trust everything you read on the internet ;)

I like it when I argue with myself and win.

You can tell a Dutchman, you just can't tell him much.

It is Time to create an international space treaty that will actually save low earth orbit from becoming a bigger trash dump than it already is....

becuzzzzzzz...

whatever is on the books is not working.
