My own little test...
by Julia A. B.

I'm 16, and sometimes (especially on Sunday nights) falling asleep at night just doesn't work for me. I tried the warm milk, the reading, switching off the music and TV an hour before bed, etc. Nothing worked. I decided to turn to the pills, because I (and my teachers) could not stand being dead all day in school. Of course, I was not going to go out and just grab any box of pills off the shelf. No, I did extensive research before the pills. I was slightly afraid to take them, but it would have been worth it for the rest. Hence my coming across this article. I realize it was posted 6 years ago, but I still think it's worth commenting on. Based on Seth's findings, I decided to go with the calms forte because it was cheap, and you get 50 pills for the $6.47 you pay for it. I took one and a half pills (chickened out of taking 2 whole pills, but didn't think one would be effective enough) at 9:00.

"... I had a very long, very trippy dream."

Oh man, oh man, do I agree with that! What I saw was basically a mishmash of long-forgotten (consciously) things at the back of my mind, my likes, and my dislikes. And man, was it fun, but very drawn out. I used to have a medium-sized fish tank when I was a kid. In my dream, my dog (who is just small enough to fit into it) was attempting to swim in said fish tank, and was getting water all over the floor of my living room. I ran into my kitchen to get some paper towel (yes, this all took place in my house) and guess who was in there? Sherlock Holmes. Or, Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes. I'm a huge fan. I won't go into much more detail, but I could have cried the next morning to find that it wasn't all real. And I wasn't tired. I had just found the holy grail of sleeping pills!

All this was only going on two weeks ago. I haven't had to use the calms forte since, and I very much hope I won't be making a habit out of taking them. Recreaional drugs aren't my bag (although it is a great side-benefit to a sleeping pill) and I can't afford to be purchasing these pills regularly, even if they are only $6.47.

So I can highly praise the calms forte, and kudos to Seth for going through some unpleasant trial-and-error to give us the lowdown on these pills. Thanks for posting such a helpful article!

In full agreement about the trippy dreams (mine was on The Love Boat). Roam the web and you'll find that it's a pretty common effect. I should probably be more concerned than I am.

P.S.: Also roam the web for cheaper Calms. You can find it for about half as much as what you paid (c. $6.00 per hundred).
