On the other hand I'm sure if your police continued to steal and murder without provocation they might find some resistance. It's the same situation, Israel attacks, Hamas responds.

Its worth it to kill one person and then have yourself and all your family killed in return? Where is the sense of that? Hamas runs the Government in Gaza, everything that a normal local government would do, from schools to Hospitals, to social services to food distribution. Only a small part of Hamas is involved in defence.

For example during 2004/5 a ceasefire latest for 16 months and was respected by Hamas, during that time the Jews killed over 400 Palestinians, the ceasefire ended when the Jews wwent too far and killed a famility of nine sitting on a beach.. The Gazans have just two choices, get killed by Jews or resist being killed by Jews.
