Can the gitmo 265 be tried in the World Criminal Court?

Why is holding them in prisons (ex: Leavenworth/Alcratraz) here until all is sorted out more dangerous than them staying in Guantanamo? What if they were to escape here, just how far would they get or what kind of damage could they do?

Alcatraz was closed in 1963, I'm sure that the Human rights people would have a problem with holding them there.

The repugs are pushing Alcatraz. I know noone could "live" there now. It would require some updates I'm sure. But again what's the problem putting them on American soil? Can't our military guard them here as well as in Cuba?

So no justice...no proof of their crimes...just keep them locked up because bushco said so? Sounds like the Gestapo or soviet secret police tactics to me. If they are proven guilty of crimes then they need to pay for it but they must be proven guilty.

If they are to be tried, they can just as well do it in gitmo as any other place.
