Thank You

I am so sick of these sorry excuses for a "teen movie". They want to catch what 16 Candles, Ferris Bueller's day off, Pretty in Pink, Breakfest Club... had, but instead they are mean spirited, anti male peices of crap, that have no redeaming value. My favorite example of this crap was American Pie, a truely loathsome movie who depicted all the charaters as living for only one thing, sex with a girl, and would screw over anyone, sink to any level, to acheave what the Hollywood instills as the holiest of grails. I am not saying sex is not important to a teen but that is only one of many factors driving teens. I totally agree with the expression of no morals, no heart in these movies, only simple minded drivel
American Pie did you see the end?

Hey I'm not a teen and I'm not fan of teen movies (I'm an old movie buff and mostly want movies pre-1960), but I have seen AP on TV and while the first have starts out with 4 teen boys ONLY thinking about sex it ends up with a very positive message.

The ones ONLY going for sex get burned and the ones that treat girls \ women as human beings 'win'. So there are morals in that teen movie. Maybe you need to watch them, hey?

I do not think it is about how the males treat the females, it is far more complex than that. Unlike what many of these movies portey male/female relationships are a two way street. When young women put up as superstarts the likes of Britany Spears and Paris Hilton, I would not put all the onus upon the males as to how women want to be treated, in essence that is what you are saying.

I don't know what your are talking about

It is clear you have never seen American Pie since you don't even comment about your initial comments on that specifc movie. One should not site a source that one knows nothing about. That movie was all about how 4 guys lose their virginity prior to graduating High School.

Of course 'it' is about WAY more than 'how males treat the females', but the discussion wasn't about 'it' (I assume 'it' being male and female relationships?). Instead IT (my reply)was about how you used AP as an example to make your point without having seen AP.

If I understand you (and trust me I'm trying), it would appear you are saying that if a young women acts like Paris or Britany they get what they deserve. i.e. how they want to be treated is a reflection of how they act.

IF that is the basis of your point, I agree with that.
