You get into the day to day attrocities, while I was just looking at the big picture of what is happening over there. All the day to day stuff sucks, there's no end to the attrocities on both sides. But the big picture is pretty simple, zionism is pushing the Palestinians aside and taking their homeland for the jews. That I can see clearly what is taking place does not equal me advocating that the reverse should now take place and all the jews should be pushed into the sea and killed. Just because I can clearly see that the Palestinians are being murdered and pushed from their land doesn't equal me agreeing with the Palestinians thirst for vengeance. I never said that. Nor did I offer my own head as a price for the evil visited upon American natives by Europeans hundreds of years ago. But the Europeans clearly murdered the natives and stole their land. Did the Indians take innocent scalps from Europeans settlers ... sure they did; was it justified? No crime is justified. But the Europeans justified their conquest of the New World, and that was no different than the European jews conquest of Palestine. You seek to justify it by stating that the Palestinians fighting to get their land back are fighting dirty... consider their options. Do you think the British felt Washington was a scoundrel when he fled over the Potomac during the holiday break instead of surrendering? ... the British had him trapped and could have wiped him out; they didn't have to give him time to surrender to spare his life and his army's lives. But the British did the honorable thing and gave him space to celebrate the holiday and then surrender and instead Washington fought dirty. Has dirty fighting gotten dirtier? oh yeah.
You totally missed my point on the Holocaust. My point was simple: the holocaust did not germinate the zionist movement; the political struggle to set aside a homeland for the jews in Palestine pre-dated the holocaust by a century. Zionists seized on the holocaust as means to trigger the creation of a modern Israel; so yes, in that form, it was used as propaganda towards their original goal. Whether it was exaggerated is a moot point; but anything that is caught up in a political wind gets exaggerated, it would be almost impossible for it not to get exaggerated... but that's not important, the point is that Zionism was a fervor that previous pogroms germinated, European jews have a long history of suffering, but the question becomes... does this justify creating an army and pushing Palestinians from their homes so the jews could settle in their ancestral homeland? I can tell you from scripture that it was going to happen; it is the biggest prophecy of the entire Bible, does that make God himself complicit? From a legal standpoint I would say yes... based upon American Law. Does God give a damn about American Law? Probably not.
You want to take a walk in the real world? Then open your Bible. Because these are the days of vengeance when all things written in the prophets are being fulfilled... in the real world.
Daniel 11:
35
And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and
to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time
appointed.
36
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and
magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the
God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that
that is determined shall be done.
37
Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor
regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38
But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his
fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious
stones, and pleasant things.
39
Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall
acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many,
and shall divide the land for gain.
40
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the
king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and
with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and
shall overflow and pass over.
41
He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be
overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the
chief of the children of Ammon.
42
He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of
Egypt shall not escape.
43
But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over
all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at
his steps.
44
But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore
he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away
many.
45
And he shall plant the tabernacles
of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come
to his end, and none shall help him.
