An Actual Circumcision
by LarsT
-1 Reply

I dare ANYONE to watch this and tell me this practice is acceptable. It is unbelievably barbaric, cruel, and psychologically sick.

I also urge anyone with a friend considering having their children cut to watch this video.

No comments on this? I wonder why.

I guess your circumcision fetish is less common than you would wish it to be.

Probably partly due to the fact that you have to sign up and join the YouTube user community to watch it...I'm not going to do that.

I suspect there aren't any comments because cheesy sensationalism is a tactic that only works on children and teenagers. Most of us are well past the stage where the "ick" factor will change our minds.

Grownups don't actually need to see the blood to understand what's happening.

Just a thought...

Too many people unthinkingly submit their children to this barbarity without even knowing what it entails - every "grownup" who would force this on a child should be required to watch this video first. By the way, since when did wanting to prevent children from being genitally mutilated suddenly become a "fetish"? I call it fighting for human rights. Just a thought...

It's all part of the sick world of people who favor infant circumcision. THEY are the normal, healthy ones. But the people who advocate leaving babies alone and intact, and who point out the inherent sickness of the practice - oh, THEY are the ones with some crazy fetish. It's literally insane.

It's cheesy "sensationalism" to show people with no idea what circumcision really involves the actual procedure? It's sensationalism to show people who think "it's just a little snip of a piece of useless skin" what circumcision really is? And being "beyond the stage" where seeing how cruel something is will change your mind makes you an adult? Wow, that's real maturity. Every parent who is considering circumcision should have to watch that video.

I guess your circumcision fetish is less common than you would wish it to be. Wanting to stop the pointless, sadistic cutting of a baby boy's genitalia qualifies as a fetish in your world? And supporting the practice is the essence of psychological health? OK, that makes a ton of sense.

Lacking interest in your link to torture porn is not a serious indication that I support circumcision. You either/or true believers really take the cake. I am sure you don't get invited to many parties.

Wow, you seem unable to address the central issue of the amount of pain and torment caused by the procedure. You called it "torture porn", which is an insight into your mind, not mine. I only post it in the hopes of never putting another baby through that again. Some issues don't have grey areas; routine infant circumcsion is one of them. It is flat out wrong. And how many parties I get invited to is an incredibly lame "argument" point. But then again, trying to defending the indefensible will do that.

gee LarsT, the "not getting invited to many parties" bit was an observation, not part of any thesis on the topic of circumcision. Getting back to the clip, in my view you are of a type that needs the graphic and the horrible. Your extremism, lack of subtlety and wit all indicate a flatliner, so to speak, when it comes to critical or analytical thinking. I suppose that part of you was getting a little turned on imagining the shock the posters that saw your message and followed it to the clip would most certainly endure. Thus, your obvious disappointment when nobody cared to comment on it. I don't need to see flesh being torn from human beings to know that I oppose genocide and expressing a desire not to be exposed to those kinds of images doesn't mean I support genocide either. You lack the sort of nuanced thinking, it seems to me, that would permit you to understand the difference. For me, you are such a defective thinker that you assume that my distaste for you means that I can't wait to snip away at each and every penis I come across. For the last time: If given a choice I would have voted for not being circumcized. I will not circumsize my son. I would counsel friends that ask me my opinion (key phrase) not to do it to their children. You just need to forgive me, LarsT, if I don't express my position without the sort of shrill nonsense each of your utterances are caked with.

I meant to say: { "You just need to forgive me, LarsT, if I express my position without the sort of shrill nonsense each of your utterances are caked with." } sorry.

The bottom line is male circumcision reduces the rate of contracting AIDS by 70%. Lets stop protecting our children against AIDS immediately! And lets stop infecting them with vaccines! Better yet, how about we just stop the stupidity?

Sorry, I stand by "cheesy".
by MessyONE

All the average North American male needs to know about circumcision he can learn by looking down and visualizing. Or at least I hope so.

Occasionally I get ahead of myself and assume that the general public is smart enough to get things without being slapped up side the head with them. What's "cheesy" to me, may not be to everyone.

Sigh. Maybe it's just my week to get crapped upon.
