Who declared Obama would be the answer to all our problems? It will take a generations to sweep away the filth of the Bush administration. This response is for your mother, mberryjordan too.

Generations? You are either very pessimistic or are setting the bar pretty low for the new administration. I voted for Obama, and my expectations are certainly higher then yours.

Yeah that sounds about right. 2 years after the Libertarians get voted in they'll repair the damage caused by decades (2 centuries??) of factional fighting between the Dems and the Repubs.

Where did I do that? The psychotic chimps who have been running amok in the White House for the past eight years have made it impossible for any one person to solve our problems in the immediate future. At this point, I will be content with a president who stops making things worse. Actual repair will take generations.

Iceland has a staying power that America cannot yet claim. Not only is the article misleading, the suggestion that there is any connection to America that is political or attitudinal is just ridiculous.
