The Draft

The draft is a good idea. I believe we should sign them up now, at least sign up those who owe child support and have not paid. Let them serve now and for time served we can deduct it from their service; this will save welfare costs because most are repeat offenders and possibly while they are in the military they will be unable to sire even more unwanted childen. Those women who have their children in Foster Care should be made to serve also so that they might repay the cost of others having to raise their poor unwanted children. Like projects should be instituted such as those individuals who have disobeyed the law and are out on probation.

We need a draft IF and ONLY if there are NO deferments and NO exceptions. EVERYONE who can walk, talk and pull a trigger goes to the front. Everyone else works in support roles. The President's daughters. Supreme Court judge's sons and daughters. Powerful filthy rich CEO's sons and daughters. EVERYONE. Anything less is selective slave labor.

Great Idea! Take a group of people unable or unwilling to take responsibility for the most basic of human society's duties and put them in a profession that requires a level of responsibility far above what the average American is capable of handling.

Furthermore, your post is based on the flawed assumption that service in the military is a punishment or burden.
