CHURCH ATTENDANCE

Considering the condition of the American sham of a government and the immorality that prevails throughout America I am surprised the church attendance hasn't skyrocketed...America has reached a point where she calls good evil and evil good. Of course some would be elated if church attendance is down or if church attendance is lied about.

The real truth is many churches have left the truth of Christ's gospel and preach social gospel, black liberation theology, and other counterfeits of God's word..This great falling away from Christ's gospel was prophecied to occur right before the return of Jesus. The sad thing about this is Jesus said we will be judged by HIS WORDS..As I see it this is God's way of removing the tares from his true church...Wake up America the wolf is here to eat the sheep and it will only get worse......It appears we are doomed...If America ever needed God it is now...

From what you write, the Rapture is just around the corner. Better start packin' and quit your yakkin'. When you nuts have finally been transported up to heaven to hang around the throne of God, it will be a blessed relief for the rest of us to have you out of our faces once and for all.

You voice the other side of this matter, I suppose. The lack of a social gospel is what drove me out the door.

The Rapture is a recent construct and has no history in the Christian tradtion before John Darby made it up. It is pure nonsenes.

specifically I Thess 4:17 and see about the Rapture. Not exactly a "recent construct"--

Not exactly my point. Let me spell it out to you. Thessalonians dates from the first century, AD. In the verse I cited, Paul is discussing the second coming of Christ. Ergo, the Rapture is not a "recent construct".

You are like many people, who critique the Bible and Christianity but are ill informed about its Scripture and precepts. Feel free to not believe, but don't base your opinion on ignorance, or, worse, or someone else's ignorance.
