Alternative medicine to the draft
by Queen Phil

Hello,

Recently my child completed a Health course given to high school students. One of the topics covered was alcohol, tobacco and drugs. Having no exposure to street drugs, she asked for my help to understand the large bewildering assortment under study. We both learned - a lot.

One of the drugs was called MDMA "Ecstasy", a drug that apparently makes people happy. It is nicknamed the 'hug drug' and makes people 'feel loving' toward one another. This drug was initially prescribed by psychiatrists to help unhappy people going through therapy. Very interesting what one can learn from a high school health course. Of course, the best part of learning comes with being able to apply what you have learned.

Here is a suggestion based upon what was learned in this course:

BEFORE WE INSTITUTE A DRAFT, IT WOULD BEHOOVE OUR BRILLIANT LEADERS TO CONSIDER UTILIZING THE DRUG NAMED ABOVE TO MAKE UNHAPPY WORLD OCCUPANTS, HAPPY.

I am not a drug afficianado, just a simple mother doing what mothers instinctively do: protect our young. I am a mother who would be very much affected if the draft were brought back just in time for my child's high school graduation. Worrying about the world and the possibility of the draft makes one think outside of the box.

From the perspective of a mother, the Taliban (for example) do not strike me as very happy individuals. They appear to be quite angry and unhappy. Similarly, people willing to blow themselves up or fly planes into buildings do not strike me as happy, well adjusted individuals. Giving these folks this drug could possibly bring about a change in their perspective, so they become happier and more willing to get along with one another.

I know this idea sounds a bit crazy. But so does bringing back the draft, n'est-ce pas?

They don't need ecstasy, they already have control of 80% of the world's heroin supply.

I'm all for drugged-up terrorists, of course, but the question I want to know the answer to is, how do you get them off the homegrown product, and onto the X?
