Just because Palin distances herself from the "femnist" label doesn't mean that she doesn't embody the ideals. Apart from abortion, there's really nothing core to the feminist movement that she doesn't represent and I think that reasonable people can disagree on whether or not abortion is an appropriate plank in the feminist platform.

Those who control the "feminist" political brand are loons--just as those who control the "christian" political brand are loons. We shouldn't let them brand the 95% of people who don't 100% agree with him as traitors to the cause.
