Because Bush was too gutless to instate a draft, Guardsmen and Reservists have done two and more tours in Iraq, and Marines have done twice that. Omama is going to have to do a total rebuild of the Guard after this is over, and we still have a war to win in Afghanistan -- the one your boy Bush "put on hold" while the Taliban and al Qaeda were rearming.

Wrong... apparently you haven't serve, our unit is are family. Most times they become more so than our own blood family.

sadly this is sometimes true usually in our reserve unit.

You won't meet many enlisted soldiers who joined because of the great salary they would make. Four to five times is a huge exaggeration, more like twice or a little more.

Those mercenaries are usually prior service, vets from first gulf war, and this current one. I was called by Halliburton and decline there offer. NOTE: Those mercenaries were just able to play by the rule of the terrorist!

The VA was repaired during the nineties, with a fair start in the late eighties. Fixing it was a consensus act, neither "liberal" not "conservative." If it matters to you, most of the job was done under Clinton.
