Obama: Jimmy Carter of the 21st century
by Stop-truth-decay
The parallels are obvious--inexperience, naivete, corrupt associates, an attitude that denigrates American exceptionalism... in a candidate who is benefiting from heavy political advantages, yet cannot put his terribly weak opponent away.

We'll get more unemployment, more inflation (to pay for all the new programs, the Treasury will be printing money, again), less national security.

I suggest Slate start a blind pool to pick the peak "misery index" of the Obama administration.

Too bad people like Volker and Reagan only come along once in a lifetime.

On the bright side, Obama does dress better than Carter.

I remember a line from when I was a kid in the 70's - "...'cause Jimmy Carter has a way of screwing up the USA!" (sung to the end of the Oscar Meyer tune)

Oh, come on. Jimmy Carter wasn't as bad as Obama!

This whole "soak the rich" platform is so transparently weak - only the Kool-Aid drinkers could possibly take it seriously.

They trot out Warren Buffet - hey - look at him - he's America's richest and smartest man , and he supports Obama! And he wants to soak the rich! Wow!

Even McCain genuflected to that asshole ( to Buffet that is- and to a much lesser extent Obama himself).

But if Buffet was a true believer in Obama's big government "plan" ( I doubt he will seriously pursue it, anyway) - he would have bequeathed his fortune to the government instead of to the Bill Gates foundation.
