Save us from this bad sequel to the Carter Administration
by MisterPerson

This mass hysteria and cult of personality will fade fast, if the voters are stupid enough to give us a big, filibuster-proof Democrat majority in Congress and Obama.

We tried "soaking the rich" during the Carter administration. The rich countered by a mixture of tax avoidance, loopholes and a cut in their own investing.

What did America get? Low-growth, high unemployment, high inflation.

And Jimmy Carter's shitty foreign policy.

Enjoy your champagne tomorrow. It's going to be a long hangover.

You got it exactly guy:

The rich lied and cheated and did criminal things to make Carter look bad and stupid. Before that, they had the Kennedys killed because JFK was going to abolish the Federal Reserve which is an unconstitutional criminal private bank. Many US military industrial complex moguls backed up Hitler, including Prescott Bush, GW's grandfather. They made money form intalling Hitler and taking him out. I agree it will be a job for Obama to get Bushwhacker and Chainmaster to jail where they belong but it can be done. GW has sold weapons to the Kurds and to the Turks. He gave and sold weapons to Mushariff who was the dictator of Pakistan. And you did not like Carter's Foriegn policy?

Hitler backer. He told FDR that Britain was defeated.

If you want to look at the letter of the law, Roosevelt was a far bigger criminal than Bush ever was. Roosevelt broke law after (Neutrality) law, in trying to keep Britain in the war. (I am glad he did, by the way)

You, however, lose all credibility when you defend Carter's administration. I believe he's a nice man, but was outmatched as President of the US. He was lucky to be running against Nixon by proxy, just as Obama is running against Bush by proxy, though Carter was much more indirect; Obama is hardly subtle about it. We've been giving arms to Turkey since they joined NATO, and backing Pakistan almost as long. (Carter stifled human rights protests and provided military aid simultaneously). Since the Kurds were part of Iraq during the Clinton administration, that's a non-issue.
