disgusting, despicable lies and the people who believe them
by truthynesslover
Almost every day I get an email from a conservative friend that tries to make Obama a terrorist, secret muslim, sleeper cell agent ,abortion practitioner, etcIt usually takes me less than five minutes to google the TRUTH and rebut these lies. The very fact he cant be bothered shows he NEEDS to believe these feces filled lies. Its sad that an entire party has been taken over by the wackos and bigots.hopedully after the election they will all move up to alaska and join the aip along with Todd.

My views about Obama are derived by words from his own mouth in live appearances to audiences...such as "I think our children should all learn to speak Spanish"....."People question my Muslim Faith" (in an interview with George Stephanopolous (sp?) and "I just want to spread the wealth around." We cannot afford to do all the things he has promised and that is a no brainer...he is pandering..how about some straight talk. And if his mother was so poor she could not afford health insurance or medical bills subsequently dying with cancer...then how and where did he get the $$ to go to Columbia and Harvard especially since his grades in high school were not that great? Too many questions and too few plausible answers. He has ducked and weaved his way through this entire campaign. Can you "google" that? Oh and how about Odinga....Rev. Wright....the PLO guy...Bill Ayers...too many connections from the underbelly of society.

The only thing disgusting and dispicable is Obama's lies and the fact that he is capable of swaying the masses to believe them. You hear all of his pretty words and watch him pontificate on his many virtues and you swoon and chant "change!" And yet you refuse to look at the fact that he has stated exactly the reasons he is unfit to lead - for starters a President is REQUIRED to uphold the constitution. Obama has already stated that America's constitution needs to be changed to offer redistribution of wealth - and yet you refuse to believe it when people call him a socialist. He has been caught in so many lies, and then backtracked... he has lied about whether he would accept public funding during the campaign, about transparency in who contributed funds, whether he would run a campaign free from negativity, for his dealings with Fannie and Freddie, and don't forget the cast of unsavory characters who have supported him through the years. He has NO apparent knowledge of how small businesses work, and apparently his handlers didn't clue him on the fact that we small business owners don't pay capital gains taxes. He said he had Christian values and yet voted to allow abortion survivors to die without comfort. He has said he will sit down with terrorist leaders without preconditions. He will deny our soldiers the victory they deserve. His campaign has consistently participated in Chicago style thug tactics to tread upon people who disagree with Obama's liberal ideas. What more do you need? A swastika on his suit?

Penny,

Nothing in your comments dignify a response. So let's talk about your candidates. Do you know that Palin is running campaign events that are just for her in Florida today? NO MENTION OF McCAIN at all.

<link>

Does that make you think they are a good team to lead the country? Would you trust her not to "off" her boss like she would an innocent moose or wolf?

I thought my comments didn't dignify a response. Guess I do after all....anyway...

On your comments...Why should it bother me when Biden and Obama have rarely shown solidarity in their stumping? What's good for the goose, etc.

I agree with Penny--she went through a laundry list that barely scratches the surface....And you come up with some hairbrained notion of "offing" someone like a moose. That's the silliest thing I ever heard. Either Madsally really is "mad" or just a fruitcake. After all, it's not the GOP taking a dragnet and rounding up all the homeless, the uneducated and felons to go vote...oh yes, that would be Obama and the Dems (ACORN)....Got any FACTS Sally or do you know what those are?
Re: disgusting, despicable lies and the people who believe them

I wasn't aware that Obama had suggested we change the constitution regarding any issue - can you provide a reference to support or are you simply infering as much from his comment about spreading the wealth? In any case it would seem that, in your eyes, the president's responsibility to uphold the constitution means that he or she is not allowed to support changing it in any way? Is that what you are claiming.

jrl503,

Like it or not, homeless people and the uneducated do have the right to vote. You should be glad--most of the uneducated will be voting for your candidate, and there are probably more of them than there are homeless people who might prefer Obama.

And I didn't suggest that Palin would necessarily try to "off" McCain. I simply asked Penny whether she would trust her not to.

What facts would you like to see from me? In your answer, please feel free to include yours about ACORN. Since you don't even understand the rights of voters, I'm guessing you are working under a lot of the same misinformation that was circulating a few weeks ago about ACORN.

Penny,

I didn't respond to your comments. I changed the subject. There's a difference.

Would you like to provide examples of how Biden and Obama are out of sync on the campaign trail? That would be helpful.

Re: you're the one who's a fruitcake

MadSally, Unfortunately uneducated and homeless often translate into uninformed and drug addicted. These people are easily duped and used--which is what is happening.

And, YES, I trust Sarah Palin--since she chose "life" when it came to her own special needs child and has lived an honorable and exemplary life--yes-- I am sure McCain is in no jeopardy.

Lastly, everyone is entitled to ONE vote---not 73 votes or 12 votes. ACORN is being investigated by the Democratic Attorney General of Colorado because of all the irregularities in their registrations--i.e. the entire starting line-up of the Dallas Cowboys. There are counties in Alabama with more registered voters than residents. Mickey Mouse is even registered in Florida. They were paying FELONS in halfway houses (per registration) to sign up voters!!! Wake up. Did you hear the "on the street" inteviews in Harlem where all of Mcain's positions were attributed to Obama and they were agreeing totally---they even thought Palin was Obama's running mate!!! People this uniformed actually have no business voting.

We live in a great country. I am a registered nurse and have proudly cared for our nation's veterans for over 30 years--my honor and privilege. I really don't want t CHANGE--I think we are a pretty good country. We send food, medicine, and aid everytime there is a disaster or people in need. The world looks to us for guidance. We have been force for good. I love my country and if I ask myself which candidate has a greater love for and has made a greater sacrifice for this country...it is not even a close call...McCain hands down!!

I am afraid of Obama, his policies, lack of experience and background--I hope I am wrong.

Jrl, I'm also a nurse, with nearly 20 years in the ICU. Remember nursing school, the place where they tried to teach us to put personal judgments aside?

I will not engage in a tit-for-tat with your arguments. However, allow me to point out that as nurses, we are supposed to assist our patients make informed decisions. We are patients' advocates, remember? So, if after a lot of thought and soul searching our patient decides to end the pregnancy, why should our own personal bias enter the picture? Like illnesses, not all patients fit a textbook case, each patient and his/her case is individual.

As you said, Palin CHOSE to continue the pregnancy. Good for her. I support her. Some women CHOOSE to end the pregnancy. I support them also, no matter what my religious principles.

jrl503,

As a nurse, you should recognize that McCain's statistical odds put him in "jeopardy." So could you please explain how Sarah Palin having a special-needs child makes her someone you would trust to lead our country? Because that is exactly what you are saying.

You can't use the argument that the homeless are drug-addicted and "uninformed" as a reason for them to be disqualified from voting. Plenty of the people posting on this site are uninformed (calling Obama an Arab because of his middle name, for instance) but they have the right to vote, right? Believe me, if EVERYONE had to pass a test showing that they understood the issues and the responsibility that comes with voting rights, our country would be a better place.

There is a lot of bad press about ACORN. A few bad eggs have corrupted a lot of people's impressions of this organization, but that doesn't mean that every vote that comes from an ACORN registration is invalid. Remember, you still have to prove your identity at the polls, and no ACORN workers will be there to cover for people who are lying. If it makes you feel better, where I live (Wisconsin) hundreds of lawyers (Democrats and Republicans, don't worry) have been trained as poll monitors to make sure everything goes smoothly. I am sure other states are doing this as well.

I don't disagree that McCain has spent his life in service to our country. It sounds like you have, too. Obama has in less conventional ways than you might like, but that doesn't mean he isn't qualified. If he can run the country the way he has run his campaign (which by all accounts has been brilliant) you don't have much to worry about.

Re: you're the one who's a fruitcake

Sally, My response about Sarah's special needs child was in response to your "offing" McCain like a moose. If she would protect human life than I doubt she would take human life. I think Sarah Palin is refreshingly NORMAL. I think she is truly patriotic. I think she is a typical American fighting the same battles we all fight and maintaining composure. I don't think you have to be a scholar to lead. I think you need to be grounded and have good judgement....and I think she does. I think she has been treated horribly by the media. I feel very bad for her and her family.. It's a shame that a decision to serve your country would rain down such venomous attacks.

I don't trust Obama, I remember the Jimmy Carter years and they were not pretty. Mortgage rate 17%; hostages in Iran; gas lines, etc...don't want to go back.

Re: you're the one who's a fruitcake
by jrl503

Mickey...I think you misunderstand me. I am pro-choice (but not in favor of letting viable live births just die) My response was to Madsally's insinuation that since Palin was doing her own thing on the campaign trail that she might "off" McCain like she would "off" a moose. My analogy was meant to convey that if she respected human life enough to preserve it, then I really doubted she would "off" McCain.
