my fave sleazy ad...
by irvingchang
was that one in 2000 when they had those two ebonic speakers saying that if boooosh was elected, it would be like draggin my daddy behind that pickumup truck all over again.

Hmmm, classy. Democracy is so beautiful.

Evidently it was not two speakers, but rather the voice of James Byrd's daughter alone:

"The ads, in grainy black and white, show a pickup truck with a chain dragging across a dirt road. The voice-over is by Renee Mullins, the daughter of James Byrd, a black man dragged to his death two years ago chained to a pickup in Jasper, Tex.

Mullins accuses Gov. Bush of refusing to support a new hate-crimes bill, saying, 'It was like my father was killed all over again.' The unmistakable message: Bush condones lynching."

sorry. i remember a couple of sisters speaking in ebonic like, barely understandable, grunts. and it was that byrd guys chiruns. the same year that had a couple of ones about burning down their churches too. vote for booooooooooosh and your some white redneck republicans would burn down your church.

of course the old standbys are good too. you know. vote for a republican, and you'll be eating dog food if you're lucky. heck, they've run that one as long as i can remember.

another one that sticks out in my mind was when the democrats ran the cartoon ad where some evil republican kept pushing old cripples in wheelchairs down the steps. i think that one was from terry mccauliffe.

it was a friggin classic for sure!!!
