When Cleaning Ladies Call to Vote for Obama

During her last visit to my house, my cleaning lady of six years, a recent American citizen, an ethnic Russian married to an American plumber, said to me, "I'm telling all my clients: if you don't vote for Obama, I won't come and clean your home. If they're too old to drive, I'll give them rides. We must vote for him."
(This reminded me of Lenin sayind (from memory), "Even kitchen servants will be able to rule the country.")
I told my cleaning lady--after all, I'd rather keep her--that I will give it a thought and didn't discuss the matter further.
Yet, I couldn't stop laughing when she left, imaging the first time she appears to clean my house after the election. I will sit her down, ask her social security number and fill out all the necessary forms to begin paying her SS taxes, unemployment insurance and whatever else an employer is expected to do when hiring an employee and paying payroll tax.
You see, up until now, she has preferred to be paid in cash (and I suspect her husband does the same). It is easy to spread someone else's wealth around--I'll give her a taste of doing it with her own funds.
I can't wait!
