Now THIS is an October Surprise!

Well it's not REALLY a surprise to those of us who have followed Obama's candidacy for the past year or so... with the spewing of Rev. Wrong, the associations with Bill Ayers and other radical groups, and the extremely leftist voting record, this really is not a surprise...

Apparently, the LA Times is refusing to release a video that purportedly shows Obama lauding a "distinguished guest" at a dinner, who was a front man for the PLO (in the days that it still sensibly was labelled as a terrorist organization). Just one more chink in the golden boy's armor...

Do American citizens with any iota of intelligence REALLY want to elect this leftist radical? Are we as a nation really THAT stupid? For the sake of our future, I hope not...

Yet another instance of Obama associating with ... college professors!

In fact, I have it on good authority that Obama himself was a college professor!

If I were tryiing to characterize a dodgy rumor as an October Surprise, I might offer this,

What about the Navy trying to supress that McCain murdered someone in 1964?

In all fairness to McCain, killing someone in a car accident is not quite the same thing as murder. But it would be funny if it were true. If it happened, it wouldn't surprise me that McCain's four-star admiral daddy had it covered up. McCain got away with a lot of shit because of who his father was.

College professors maybe... Radical terrorists, definitely... Anyone who was hired to teach at a college can claim professorship... But what does it say of our institutions of higher learning that they are willing to hire people who claim demolitions of occupied government buildings and unrepentent killings of civilians on their resume? I do believe Ayers fits the bill. If you think otherwise, there are other sorts of institutions you should look into... or be ADMITTED to...

Unrepentant killings of civilians? I don't know whose resume you're talking about, baldone, but it's not Ayers, who set off tiny bombs at the Haymarket Riot statue, the Pentagon and the Capitol to protest killing of civilians in Vietnam. He did not kill anyone.

Rashid Khalidi has had some dealings with the PLO, though he denies being a member. Does that make him a "terrorist?" Let's see some evidence. At this point there is absolutely none.

Surprise! McCain gave the same guy money.

The criminal conspiracy in which Ayers participated only failed to kill because of the incompetence of his associates in blowing themselves up before they could bomb soldiers and their dates at Fort Dix. They were preparing bombs with shrapnel - I'm no explosives expert, but I don't think that's very useful if you just want to blow up a statue. So yes, he and his co-conspirators failed to kill the people they were trying to kill, but apart from ideological leanings the main difference between them and Tim McVeigh was competence.

(In fact, Ayers' partners' deaths would have been grounds for charging him with felony murder if Hoover hadn't made prosecution impossible by running the FBI like a cross between the Keystone Cops and the Gestapo.)

A direct quote from Khalidi:

"[With the exception of the US and Israel]... every other single place on the face of the earth is in support of the Palestinians..."

That's your case against him? Uh, OK.

I don't want to defend Ayers -- his actions were appalling, as Obama has said, and he should have done hard time -- but are you guys really trying to equate his puny little hippie bombings with McVeigh's deliberate mass murder of 168 men, women and children at the Murrah building -- the worst act of terrorism on U.S. soil before 9/11? You really want to go there? Really?
