Scott Baio is Off-Book
by blayse
Everything that happens in that show is deliberate and scripted. The show came into my restaurant to shoot a 'date' and all of it was pre-planned and more-or-less scripted, some improv'ed. His dorky wingman, supposed to be that way. The 'argument' between muscle-bound life-coach and dork-boy, scripted. The young man sent in to pick up on Scott's girlfriend's daughter, cast from a list of hopefuls. Thing is, Scott is still a successful producer and director; I don't understand why he felt compelled to enter the Elephant Graveyard that is Celeb-Reality television. This space is reserved for true has-beens like Vanilla Ice, Corey Haim, and Gary Coleman.

Needless to say, ALL reality shows of this nature are scripted and acted the same way.

It's fiction TV, usually with amateurs, but now also with "real" actors who need the work.
