Acorn is not needed
by Payback
People that don't have the initiative to vote on their own shouldn't vote. More poor people voting will just mean more government programs.Enough already with the giveaways.I propose a moratorium on all government giveaways(i.e. programs) until the budget is balanced. But you say the budget won't ever be balanced. That's about right. No more f------giveaways weather to bankers, the "beloved Middle class" or the poverty pimps.

You have that backward.

We just had the largest government givaway program in history, $700 billion, mainly targeted to rich people. In general, rich people get far more cash benefits from the government than poor people do, especially when you count things like infrastructure, medical research and other high tech government R&D. So if you want to cut back on goverment largesse, you should make it a rule that only people who earn less than $50,000 per year can vote.

Bush ran up $5 trillion in debt and most of that money found its way into the pockets of wealthy people.

Kind of ironic, isn't it?

ooooh. We wouldn't want EVERYONE to vote now would we? That would be (* gasp *) like a democracy or something.

Most democratic countries in the developed world have a much higher voter turnout in national elections than the United States. Their statistics generally show lower infant mortality and a better educated population.
